WHO: Aristophanes, and Borja, and people nearby?
WHERE: Borja-Pearl Border
OPEN/CLOSED: Open
WHEN: Day 6, past noon.
[A troupe of Aristophanes are coming to Borja territory today]
[Though what's this? They're being accompanied by a certain pink-haired girl you might remember from Uruk? In an Aristophanes-uniform. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? Maybe it is Uruk-trickery.]
[At any rate, maybe they want to deal.]

Especially after I discovered, to my distaste, that not a shred of Church information was traded to Aristophanes last season.
...I note your territory's looking very nice. As expected?

But... yes, of course. It's surely not your responsibility to look out for the welfare of other families, is it? Even ones as reliable as Aristophanes.
As for our relationship, well, we're hungrier for a bit more than meals now.

But I would not contend with Aristophanes' governess' role in his family, as I assume he would not with mine. Our families are always our priority, are they not? Which is why I would ask for your hunger, rather than blindly feed you and leave no supply for my own.

You will either find it very difficult to supply, or very easy. The result I think will have a marked impact on Aristophanes-slash-Borja relations.

[...watching his face carefully]
You're aware of the fate of the... previous... Prime of Aristophanes?

She was found bloodily killed, you see. Right in her own territory. Throat ripped out. Blood everywhere. Nasty work. No idea who could have done it.

Such things must not happen again.

To the effect that Borja was completely uninvolved with the murder of Aristophanes' former Prime. You had no knowledge of this event, no complicity in how it happened, and no part in the execution. None of you.
Will you do this?

You would target us with an attack, ask for a treaty to protect yourselves from attack from us, then demand to put us on trial at your own terms with no benefit to us all within the same breath.
no subject
You have something to hide?
no subject
As for the trial, would it put you at ease to know that what she is asking now is no less than what she freely offered to us before, as Champion of Uruk?
no subject
Because they can't agree to it.
no subject
I hardly see why we have anything to prove to you. If you would so enjoy placing such accusations on us with no reason or rhyme, well, I can hardly stop you with that.
no subject
Surely you don't think we came all this way to let you imagine you've been insulted? Everything benefits you.
no subject
Rather, I should say... it's fearful, not knowing who was or was not involved in Honeythorn's murder. All of our dealings with you up to now have been pleasant, and I would like to continue the friendship between our houses.
In that spirit, would you consent to offering us that assurance? We have fine goods to trade for it, and I would offer the same terms I offered Uruk for the same request - answer us truly now, and Aristophanes will give another true answer in return, at any time of your choosing.
It would be such a relief, to know for certain that Borja had not struck us such a blow.
